Meet Arklife’s Resident Services team

At the heart of Arklife communities is our Resident Services team.

Unlike traditional apartments for rent, Arklife communities are designed to enhance the lifestyle of our residents. With a range of purpose-built, functional amenity, recreation areas and resident services to make your day more convenient, Robertson Lane takes renting to a new level.

What really sets Robertson Lane apart from other apartments for rent in Fortitude Valley is our curated resident services. Similar to a hotel experience, Arklife offers a range of unique and personalised services including a resident app, pet washing bay and secure parcel delivery, as well as events and partnerships.

The Arklife experience wouldn’t be possible without Chadwick Harding and Caitlin Garland, the friendly faces behind our Resident Services team. Filled with knowledge and enthusiasm, Chad and Caitlin are passionate about creating an experience unlike anything else.

Chad brings experience and passion

With more than 10 years’ experience managing residential communities, Chad is no stranger to serviced apartments in Brisbane. His background in construction means he has a hands-on, practial approach to delivering exceptional customer service and resident services. As the Resident General Manager, Chad is responsible for community and operations of Robertson Lane. Chad is passionate about partnering with community organisations to provide unique experiences and opportunities that enhance residents’ lives.

“Part of my role at Arklife is to establish partnerships and initiatives that benefit our residents and the Robertson Lane community,” Chad said.

“Currently I’m liaising with a not-for-profit organisation on a really exciting partnership that will enable residents to make a real difference to the environment and reduce our overall carbon footprint, which is something that Arklife is passionate about.”

Chad strives to create a community that residents can be proud to belong to. He is renowned for his extensive charity work throughout the years, having so far raised more than $42,000 for R U OK? Day through various events. Chad’s personal enthusiasm for philanthropy will continue to thrive in his role at Arklife.

“I believe it’s important that we support charities and local businesses that align with our values, which is why I am always on the hunt for new ways to make an impact.”

Outside the office, Chad is a proud Brisbane Lions fan who enjoys keeping active.

Caitlin’s resident-centric approach

From leading tours across Europe and the USA to managing luxury hotels in regional NSW for the past eight years, Arklife’s Resident Services Manager, Caitlin Garland, really can do it all.

A Guinness World Record holder and self-professed dog lover, Caitlin brings her passion for living life to the fullest to the team at Arklife where she curates and delivers resident services and leasing initiatives at Robertson Lane.

“With everything I do, I’m always striving to create a memorable experience for Arklife residents, from the moment they enquire to when they inspect an apartment and beyond,” Caitlin said.

“My focus right now is on ensuring new residents have a simple move-in process and that every step of the way they have all the information they need, and have a really great time of course!”

Caitlin’s bubbly and enthusiastic nature has not gone unnoticed. In fact, one couple was so happy with Caitlin’s service that they dropped off a beautiful gift of champagne and flowers after finding out their application had been approved to say thank you for ‘changing our lives’!

As Arklife begins to come to life with the very first residents securing their apartments, Caitlin will also be heavily involved in organising regular in-house events for residents. She will be the ‘go-to’ person for day-to-day activities and any questions that residents have.

The Arklife way

Led by Chad and Caitlin, Arklife’s Resident Services team is dedicated to helping you reach your full potential by enhancing your day-to-day. Through organised social events and activities that are designed for you, Arklife communities provide endless opportunities to connect, grow and belong. These events support Arklife’s four key pillars – health and wellbeing, community, leadership and career, and culture and events.

Events such as wine and painting classes and cultural festivals will create a vibrant residential community that residents will be proud to call home. Why everyone should experience living in Fortitude Valley

There are not many places as unique as Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

The social heart of Brisbane, Fortitude Valley combines all of the city’s best bars and clubs with a diverse line-up of live music venues, restaurants and cafes, boutique shopping, art and culture.

The Valley is also home to many commercial office spaces with some of Brisbane’s largest employers positioned here, making it a popular employment hub.

Less than 2km to the CBD, 2km to New Farm Park and Roma Street Parklands, 1km to Howard Smith Wharves and 500 metres to James Street, Fortitude Valley is easily one of Brisbane’s most walkable neighbourhoods, meaning residents can ditch the car and opt to walk or catch public transport instead.

All of these elements combined make this the ideal suburb to call home if you’re looking for a laid back, well-connected and social lifestyle.

More than meets the eye

Although there’s plenty to do in Fortitude Valley, where this neighbourhood really shines is in its hidden laneways!

Brisbane is fast becoming a laneway city with hidden gems popping up in the CBD, Fortitude Valley and South Brisbane.

Whether you’re a foodie, shopaholic or just looking for a great coffee, there’s a laneway for everything in Fortitude Valley!

Winn Lane, Fortitude Valley. Image: My Valley

  • Winn Lane. Tucked behind the popular live music venue, The Zoo, Winn Lane can be accessed on foot via Ann Street. The go-to laneway for eats, art and treats, Winn Lane’s tenants include Ben's Burgers, Principessa Clothing, Phoebe Paradise Art, Tym Guitars, Babushka Ballerina and more.
  • California Lane. Named after one of Brisbane’s original cafes in the 1950s, California Lane (found on McLachlan St) boasts a nostalgic vibe with neon signs, pastel walls and artwork – perfect for selfies. The newest laneway on the scene, California Lane features some big brands including Fat Dumpling and New York Slice, as well as several local cafes and office tenants.
  • Bakery Lane. Heritage buildings meet creativity on Bakery Lane. Home to restaurants, cafes, bars and innovative businesses, you’re guaranteed to always see a diverse mix of people at Bakery Lane. Located on Ann Street, this award-winning laneway always plays host to Valley Laneway Markets – a vibrant artisan and design market showcasing quality local goods.

Rental properties in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley

New rental properties in Fortitude Valley are few and far between, especially if you’re looking for an apartment with access to resident amenity such as rooftop entertaining areas, gym, gardens, pool, and dedicated ‘work from home’ spaces.

Arklife Robertson Lane is the new kid on the block, offering a unique way to live. With rental properties in Brisbane and unprecedented resident services and amenity, Arklife is taking renting to a new level.

Arklife combines everything that Australians love about renting plus flexibility and affordability, with the security and peace of mind that is often associated with buying.

Leading Australia’s rental market

Adding to an international line-up of community-focused developments, Arklife’s build-to-rent communities are shaping up to be world leaders, according to a recent article by The Urban Developer

Speaking to Arklife Managing Director, Scott Ponton, The Urban Developer highlighted Arklife’s new approach to the evolution of rental communities, supported by the knowledge of local architects and developers.

“Some of the projects being developed at the moment are very much world-leading in terms of design and placemaking.” said Mr Ponton.

Scott recently took part in The Urban Developer’s Build-to-Rent virtual Summit to discuss the vision for Arklife communities.

“Our product is not just the building, it’s also the way we manage it and engage with our customers [renters],” Ponton said.

“Our view around differentiation is going to be the people.

“Everyone can copy aspects of design and amenities and facilities but, at the end of the day, the differentiation is going to be how you run these communities and the character of the buildings themselves through the people that run them … in that way, it’s very similar to a hotel experience.”

Embodying the spirit of Brisbane’s most vibrant neighbourhoods

Arklife Robertson Lane offers more than just furnished apartments for rent in Brisbane. It’s a vibrant community where you can live the lifestyle you aspire.

When Interior Stylist and Designer Lee Accatino created the aesthetic for Arklife Robertson Lane, he wanted the apartments, the common areas and the function spaces to reflect and embrace where they were being built. Lee’s greatest inspiration was the spirit and vibrancy of the surrounding areas.

“As a local to the New Farm and Fortitude Valley area, I wanted to capture this energy, including the diverse and colourful history of Fortitude Valley and the chic, modern spirit of James Street,” Lee said.

The chic and minimalistic interiors, combined with the creative work of the, architecture and design teams, means that each space at Robertson Lane perfectly encapsulates the very essence of the James Street precinct. Refreshing, energetic and diverse.

A colour palette that makes you feel right at home

From the moment you step into an apartment at Robertson Lane, you will immediately feel right at home. The light timbers and pastel colours have been selected as a compliment to Robertson Lane’s surroundings within the James Street precinct – creating a sense of connectedness and belonging.

Inspired by the elegance of James Street, each apartment features light timber flooring and hand-selected furnishings. The pale blue and soft pink finishes are also reminiscent of the flowers and nature that locals love at New Farm Park.

“The apartments themselves are practical, very well-considered and have everything you need. The interior styling and selection of furnishings and finishes elevate the spaces to create a beautiful feeling of comfort and being welcomed home,” Lee said.

At Robertson Lane, renters can choose between a range of unfurnished and furnished apartments for rent in Brisbane’s vibrant James Street precinct, giving you the flexibility and freedom to choose an option that suits you. The display apartments feature hand-selected furnishings and styling deliberately chosen to maximise functionality and comfort.

“The furniture collection was carefully considered and combines both locally produced pieces with others sourced through overseas manufacturers,” Lee said.

Local Brisbane twist on a Palm Springs look

You will feel like you have been transported to Palm Springs as soon as you walk through the doors of Robertson Lane. Embracing a balmy, retro-cool feeling reminiscent of Miami or Palm Springs, Robertson Lane features a crisp colour palette, modern open plan layout and natural finishes.

Beyond the concrete walls, Robertson Lane’s interiors are minimalistic and classy while still inviting a sense of comfort and familiarity. Lengthy windows and light curtains were deliberately chosen to allow the light to seep in and to embrace Brisbane’s subtropical climate.

“I wanted the Arklife experience to be engaging from the moment you step off the street into the Outdoor Garden Laneway, a charming sanctuary beyond the concrete and then into an environment that blurs the lines between design, lifestyle and aspiration,” Lee said.

Acknowledging traditional owners at Arklife Cordelia

The teams from Arklife and ADCO recently participated in a Welcome to Country and traditional smoking ceremony to promote the protection and wellbeing of visitors at Arklife Cordelia.

An ancient custom performed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, a smoking is an important part of a ceremony as it assists in cleansing the area and people of bad spirits and encourages good health and wellbeing through connection to culture.

Led by proud Turrbal and Yuggera man, Tommy, the ceremony provided great insight to the culture and history of the original owners of the land.

When complete Arklife Cordelia will include 265 apartments over 29-storeys, and an extraordinary collection of resident amenity areas and services including a residents lounge and bar, library, fully fitted-out gym, sky garden, rooftop recreation zone with 25-metre pool and more.

Developed with sustainability in mind, Arklife Cordelia will target a 5-star Green Star ‘Design’ and ‘As Built’ rating, an average NatHERS rating of 7.5-stars, and a NABERS Energy for Apartments rating of 5 stars, setting a new benchmark for residential rental accommodations and supporting Australia’s transition to a low carbon future.

Arklife acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land our communities reside on and pay respect to elders past, present and future.

Is Fortitude Valley Brisbane’s most connected neighbourhood?

Located less than 2km from Brisbane’s CBD, 10km from the airport and close to all major highways, could Fortitude Valley be Brisbane’s most connected neighbourhood?

Accessible for everyone regardless of your preferred transport option, there’s no limit to how you can get around Fortitude Valley.

Four dedicated secure car parking facilities and on-street parking make it easy to hit the road, while a train station, plenty of bus stops and both hire scooters and bicycles make Fortitude Valley the perfect location for those coming from anywhere in greater Brisbane or beyond.

But it’s not just transport that makes Fortitude Valley a well-connected suburb. A melting pot of different cultures, Fortitude Valley has a way of bringing people together from all walks of life.

A hub for opportunities

Located on the north-eastern fringe of Brisbane CBD, Fortitude Valley is a thriving commercial and cultural hub.

Known by locals as “The Valley”, the suburb’s commercial, retail, arts, live entertainment and nightlife precincts make it a popular employment hub for a range of industries.

The heart of Brisbane’s nightlife, Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley, is a one-stop destination for bars, cafes, restaurants and shopping, offering endless opportunities for those in hospitality. With top hotels nearby, it’s also a popular location for those seeking a career in tourism.

From leading real estate groups to architecture firms, government bodies, consultancies, law firms and more, Fortitude Valley is home to many established organisations with corporate office spaces on almost every street.

For lovers of the arts, Fortitude Valley boasts several boutique art galleries and live music venues and is famous for hosting various annual festivals, including the James Street Food and Wine Trail, BIGSOUND and Valley Fiesta.

But it doesn’t stop there! New commercial developments in Fortitude Valley also offer ongoing employment opportunities for trade workers.

Exciting lifestyle precincts

In recent years, Fortitude Valley has undergone a makeover with a wave of new developments expanding on The Valley’s rich history.

Billions of dollars of investment in commercial projects have added to the suburb’s desirability.

Featuring a curated mix of more than 110 speciality stores, including design showrooms and fashion boutiques, award-winning restaurants and cafes, art galleries and more, James Street in Fortitude Valley is Brisbane’s foremost retail and lifestyle precinct.

Nearby Howard Smith Wharves is Brisbane’s newest riverside entertainment destination with exciting spaces to connect with loved ones while enjoying world-class dining. Locally brewed beers and unique restaurants make Howard Smith Wharves a standout destination for any occasion.

An upgraded Brunswick Street Mall revitalised the popular nightlife precinct with a focus on daytime trading. Strategic urban design, landscape architecture and the use of art have turned the area into a vibrant place to eat, shop and play.

Rental properties in Fortitude Valley
